Conair FB52K Foot Spa Product Description

The Conair FB52K looks like your standard foot spa. You have the basin, which you can fill with water, oils, and bath salts. It has the control panel at the top that lets you quickly change settings such as the intensity of the bubbles and waterfall function (more on that later). And it also comes with several attachments: two built in scrub brushes, a pumice stone, and a couple of soft-touch massagers.

How It Works

Using the FB52K is simple. All you do is heat up water (on a stove, or get warm water from the sink or tub) and then dump it into the basin. Once the water is in the basin, you can choose to simply rest your feet in the water or turn on the massaging bubbles to make the experience even more soothing. If you want even more comfort, you can turn on the waterfall feature which massages the top of your feet with a stream of water.

Some people also choose to add oils or bath salts to create a soothing aroma in the air. After about 20 minutes (which is about how long you should soak your feet on average), you can remove your feet and either dry them off or use the pumice stone attachments to scrape away any dead or rough skin.

Features

  • Contains multiple jets to help create soothing bubbles.
  • Comes with 3 optional attachments, including a pumice stone, a massager, and a scrubbing brush.
  • The Conair is outfitted with multiple blue LED lights that illuminate the water and can help create a spa-like atmosphere.
  • The spa comes equipped with a waterfall function which pours soothing water on the tops of your feet.
  • 3 easily reachable controls allow you to quickly change the amount of light, turn the bubble function on or off, and allow you to control the waterfall function.

Benefits of Using the Conair FB52K Foot Spa

For starters, one of the main benefits of this foot spa is that it is extremely affordable. When it is on sale you can get it for less than $40, and even at full price it usually retails for less than $60. This means that this is one of the most affordable foot spas on the market. But, just because the foot spa is affordable, does not mean that it is subpar. It actually does quite a few things well.

One major benefit, aside from the cost, is that it has a nifty waterfall function. The waterfall function basically bathes the top of your feet and your toes with water and soothing bubbles. This is a great feature because those are really neglected areas of the feet and this is one of the few foot spas out there that recognize this.

The various attachments included with the Conair FB52K are also great. The pumice stones and brush attachments are both useful for getting rid of dead skin, while the massager is great for helping to further soothe tense muscles after relaxing them in the water. Plenty of foot spas out there include attachments, but most usually just throw in a pumice stone. Very few foot spas have as many attachments as this Conair.

Downsides of Using this Foot Spa

There are some issues with this foot spa that we feel need to be mentioned. For starters, the motor on this foot spa is loud. Some people will not mind this, but others will find it distracting. It is especially bad if you have others in your home, and you want to use this foot spa in a crowded area like the living room. If, however, you listen to music or pop your headphones in while soaking your feet, then the loud motor is not really a big issue.

Another issue with this foot spa is that there is no heating element. This means that the foot spa is not able to heat water, instead, you have to pour hot water into the basin to begin with. This is common among foot spas in the same price range. You have to pay a hefty price tag to get a heating unit in your foot spa, so this is to be expected with the Conair.

Customer Reviews

With over 1,500 reviews on Amazon at the time of this writing, the Conair is clearly a popular purchase. It currently has an average review score of 3.2 stars. Generally, most of the complaints center around the noise issue that was mentioned earlier, the fact that the basin is too shallow, and the fact that there is no heating element. On the other hand, people praise its low price, the waterfall function, and the variety of attachments.

Who Should Use the FB52K?

The primary audience for this foot spa is people who have never used a foot spa before and want to give one a try. Given the cheap price of this foot spa, it is a good purchase for people who are unsure if they will like using a foot spa or not. After using it for a little while, you can upgrade to a more expensive, more feature heavy foot spa. But, if you are looking for a budget foot spa then the Conair is a fine choice. For the price, you get a good number of features and it will last you a long time.

Conclusion

As we mentioned in our home foot spa buying guide, the Conair FB52K is our favorite foot spa in the low-end price range. It is the perfect entry-level unit for someone looking to get their feet wet, so to speak. We think it is a great deal, and a low-risk way to try out your first home foot spa!
