Let’s dig into this gem of a foot spa!
Ivation Foot Spa Product Description
On the outside, the Ivation foot spa looks like your standard foot spa. You have the basin where the water goes, a control panel at the top to control things like heat and speed, and you have the internal components.
In terms of features, the Ivation is very capable. It has multiple water jets dotted throughout the basin to help create therapeutic bubbles. It heats (what would a foot spa be without heated water???), vibrates, bubbles, has automatic rolling massagers, three pedicure attachments, a handle for portability, and adjustable settings using the digital display panel. The heating element can reach a maximum of 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
How the Ivation Foot Spa Works
The Ivation foot spa works like any other foot spa. You set it down on a flat surface, plug it in, and fill it with warm water. There is a marked line that tells you how much water you need to put in, but if you want you can tweak that amount a bit. For example, if you find that water is constantly spilling out onto your carpet, then you can put a bit less water in.
After that, you simply set the temperature you want the water at and how long you want the soak session to go on for. After your feet have been massaged and have soaked for 20 minutes, you may choose to do things like exfoliate or scrape off dead skin.
- 3 vibrating massagers. 2 for the soles of the feet and one for the balls of your feet.
- LCD control panel allows you to quickly change the temperature and the timer, while also allowing you to easily enable or disable the bubble and massage function.
- Comes with an advanced heating element that quickly allows the massager to heat water up to a maximum temperature of 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Comes with 2 extra attachments, a brush, and a pedicure tool.
Benefits of Using the Ivation Foot Spa
The Ivation foot spa is an absolute dream to use. The heating elements work quickly, meaning you do not have to wait long for the water to get up to your desired temperature. Also, unlike many other foot spa heating elements, the heating element on the Ivation foot spa does a great job of keeping the water at a consistent temperature for the entire duration of the soak.
The added foot massagers are a great feature that really set the Ivation above many other home foot spas. The foot massagers are just hard enough to actually give your feet a nice massage while being soft enough that they do not hurt those with sensitive skin. A lot of foot spas include foot massagers, but they make them either too hard or too soft. This is not an issue with the Ivation.
The water jets do their job and create a suitable amount of bubbles. They also make it possible to add Epsom salt or oils to the foot spa to help create a relaxing aromatherapy experience.
The foot spa itself is well designed and easy to carry around. Many foot spas make the mistake of putting the walls of the basin too low. This results in water spilling out whenever you put your feet into the spa. The Ivation’s basin has relatively high walls, which means that you do not have to worry about constantly cleaning up spilled water. Likewise, the foot spa has a plastic carrying handle that makes it easy to transport.
Finally, the added attachments, the free brush, and the pedicure tool, are nice additions which make it possible to scrape off dead skin and clean your feet after a nice soak. Plenty of foot spas include attachments like these, so it does not make the Ivation unique or anything, but it is still worth mentioning.
Downsides of Using the Ivation Foot Spa
The Ivation spa is overall a very good machine, but it does have a few minor issues. For starters, the basin could afford to be a bit bigger. People with larger feet (size 13 and above) will likely find it to be too small for them.
Another minor complaint is that there is no remote control for the foot spa. If you are in the middle of a soak and want to change the settings, then you have to lean forward and physically change them. Having a remote control would allow you to quickly change settings while still relaxing.
Overall, customers seem to agree with what we have said here. On Amazon (at the time of this post), the machine has a 4.2 out of 5 star rating. Reviews tend to praise the machine’s heating element, its massage rollers, and its affordable price. While negative reviews tend to focus on the lack of space, as well as complaints about mechanical defects (but based on the average review score, it is clear that the vast majority of people do not experience any defects).
Who Should Use the Ivation Foot Spa?
Anyone looking for a good, affordable foot spa would enjoy using the Ivation. Those with rough skin on their feet will enjoy the massage rollers, which along with the pedicure attachment, can help get rid of rough skin. Likewise, anyone who suffers from an issue that causes chronic foot pain will benefit from using the Ivation. The mixture of the massage rollers and the soothing jets make the Ivation a great tool for dealing with foot pain of all kinds.
The Ivation is a great foot spa and given its relatively low price, you should definitely jump on it the first chance you have. It is a true feat of engineering which continues to set itself apart from the other home foot spas on the market.
